Romans 12:2

Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of yur mind that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Multiple studies have been done in search for finding intelligences in young children. The younger the child, the higher the intelligence and the greater percentage of geniuses was found. As children got older, the intelligence dropped along with the percentage of geniuses. Both continued to drop as tests were done on adults.  Why would that be?

While children comes into the world not understanding sin, the sin nature became part of them at birth. Ultimately, sin destroys and will bring upon death. Sin destroys not only the body, but hardens the heart and mind to the fullness of God - the creator of all intelligence. As mankind continues in sin, he or she will ultimately die. But God tells us that Jesus gives us life and gives it to us abundantly.  While our bodies will one day decay, our Bibles tells us how to get smarter God's way as the world crumbles in its way of intelligence.

God gave King Solomon to be the wisest king on earth. He spent the first eleven chapters in the Book of Proverbs instructing his son on how to gain knowledge. Is it the knowledge of the world? No, it is the knowledge of God, which far supercedes the knowledge of the world.

The Apostle Paul gave us the secret on how to renew our minds to the will of God, which again, far outweighs what the world considers as being smart. In the meantime the world's mind is destroying itself.

James, the brother of Jesus, wrote in James 1:5 that if we lack wisdom, all we have to do is ask God for it, and He will give it to us liberally. How many times in life have you asked God for wisdom when you were perflexed and needed an answer from God?  Remember, everytime you ask for wisdom, God gives it to you and you become smarter in that area because the Creator of all wisdom has instructed you.

Then the Apostle Paul taught us in 1 Cor 2:16 that we have the mind of Christ, so we can be rest assured that if we walk according to the instructions of the Holy Spirit, as supported by the Scriptures, we have the mind of Christ.

Science now verifies what the Scriptures have been telling us all along. We can grow new brain cells under the right conditions, but also destroy them through living in sin. As Christians, we have the answer to becoming smarter and smarter everyday. By seeking knowledge through God's Word, renewing our minds to the Word of God, calling upon God regularly for wisdom, we then have the mind of Christ.

Just this alone tells us how to raise our children to be as intelligent as God created them to be, nurturing that intelligence, and how we can raise our own intelligence - Get in God's Word - Believe God's Word - Stay in God's Word - Walk in God's Word. That is our key to living as Jesus commanded us to live.

John 10:10 Jesus came to give life, and give it abundantly
