Luke 18:17

HOW TO RECEIVE THE KINGDOM OF GOD (10-7-18) - PCG New England District

Luke 18:17 Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the Kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.

Jewish mothers often brought their children to a rabbi on their 1st birthday to be blessed.  Considered as a rabbi, many mothers brought their children to Jesus. The children loved to come to Jesus because He lovingly accepted them unconditionally with a love that was immediately felt and experienced. They didn't understand His teaching, but they responded to a simple touch when Jesus took them into His arms and He blessed them. In their innocence, they responded to that love and received all that Jesus gave them.

What Children Teach Us About Being Humble | Child teaching, Christian ...

Jesus is telling us to come to Him in the same way - humbly, as a little child, even though we come with our baggage of sin, loaded down with the troubles of the world. None of us have anything to offer Him, yet Jesus' arms are reaching out to us to love us unconditionally.

Jesus wants to bless you by giving you the Kingdom of God.  You must, however, receive Him first like a little child to experience His love. Then as you humbly come to Him, He blessed you by offering His wonderful gift of the Kingdom of God. He's always there waiting for you, and as you come to Him as a little child experiencing His unconditional love,  you begin to understand in a deeper way that His offer of Him and the Kingdom of God now resides within you.  Remember, Jesus loves you unconditionally and He will never ever leave you nor forsake you. Humbly receive Him today - for yours is the Kingdom of God when you do.
