Romans 10:17

Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.
This is a simple, yet profound scripture verse on how to build up our faith in the promises of God's Word.
The ability for us to grow in our faith is amazing. Jesus used the example of a mustard seed to teach His disciples that they only need a tiny bit of faith to do great things, as long as that faith is in trusting in God's power and not their own. So then, what is the size of a mustard seed? Approximately the size of a poppy seed - maybe four times the size of the period at the end of this sentence.
We can take what little faith that we have been given when we came to Christ and build upon it by getting God's Word down in our heart. The more we hear the Word of God, and I might add "read" as well, the more it penetrates our heart to do the God-kind of changes that builds our faith in God's ability to work in and through us.
So, when you find yourself lacking in faith in anything that is promised in God's Word, get right back into your Bible. Do you want to believe a promise for healing, a miracle, finances, the mending of a relationship, or even salvation of a loved one? Find that promise that you so want to believe in and keep repeating it over and over, day after day, along with other supportive scripture of what you want to believe for, so it can go from your head to your heart. You will know when that long path between the head and the heart is complete, because suddenly you will know as you know - you truly believe in that promise, and you wonder why it took you so long because now that you truly believe, it seems so simple.
There is nothing too hard for God!
