Hosea 4:6a

Hosea 4:6a My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge

This powerful scripture was written by the prophet Hosea warning God's people that they have rejected God's knowledge, ignoring the Law of God, and living their lifes as they pleased. As such, the prophet warns them that God will take His hand of protection off of them, allowing them to trust in their own knowledge, which simply will destroy them. This same verse also applies to us Christians today with a warning that if we do not get the Word of God firmly down into our hearts, simply depending on our knowledge, which is man's knowledge, God will just let the natural course of events happen, and we will eventually be destroyed because we lack God's knowledge firmly in our hearts.

Faith in God's Word is so critical for our lives - and even more so as we are steeped in the end times of this age. It is critical that we embrace God's Word as God speaks directly and individually to each of us. Our lives need to live by faith and grow from "faith to faith" as purpose to embrace God's Word for ourselves. Have you noticed that the more you meditate on God's Word, the more it becomes alive in you and your faith grows stronger and stronger in the ability of God to work in your life and through your life?

All Christians need to understand that their Bible is a "BOOK OF POWER."  You see, the more you get to know, understand and apply God's Word to your life, the more powerful you become in the things of God. Remember faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God (Rom 10:17) and your Bible is alive and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of your soul and spirit, your joint and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of your heart (Heb 4:12) when you get it into your heart.

The more you read, meditate and study your Bible, the more powerful you will become in what the Word of God says you can have. Your belief in that power becomes stronger and stronger every day as you see God being active in living out those powerful truths in your life.
