Ephesians 6:14a Stand therefore...

Now that you have experienced the beauty, security, and safety of dwelling in the secret place in God, (refer to the last several Daily Devotions in Psalm 91), you know that outside that place the devil and his forces roam around looking for anyone - especially those who are vulnerable to his schemes and plans of attack. Outside the secret place in God is filled with evil and wickedness all around, yet, outside of the secret place in God is where the peoples of the world live who have no idea how to find the safety in the secret place in God.

When you accepted Jesus as your personal Savior and Lord, you entered into the army of God. As believers in Christ, you and I have an assignment - bring people to Christ so they too can experience their wonderful place in God just as you have been experiencing. As such, you are a soldier who always needs to be ready for battle - protected, yet armored, to meet the enemy head on.  It's now time to place the armor of God on you before you step outside of your secret place in God into the unknown territory of the realm of Satan.  Remember, you are entering Satan's world because our Bible tell us that Satan is the god of this world. As a soldier in the army of God, you need to be fully protected and armored to defeat Satan at every turn before you step outside of the secret place in God.

Right now, stand to your feet - stand tall and immovable, knowing that God has given you His protection, peace, comfort and shelter under His wings. In that you stand steadfast and immovable. You are refreshed and being ready to put yourself under God's protection of armor, being assured that His armor is also a defensive and offensive weapon against the enemy. We know, by the Word of God that our battle is not against human forces, but it is a spiritual battles against all the forces of evil that operate in this world.

As you are readying yourself to put on your first armor, you know you are ready because you have been in that secret place in God which gives continuous comfort, strength, and protection.  That protection has given you the understanding that you are strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.  Be ready, for in tomorrow's Daily Devotion, you will learn of your first armor to place yourself under to defeat Satan in your life.
