Ephesians 6:13
Dear Christian friends,
Ephesians 6:13 Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
We are in our Daily Devotions studying on the Armor God from Ephesians 6:10-18. Paul has iterated that we need to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. We do that by putting on the armor of God so that we can stand against the schemes of the devil - for he is out there roaming around seeking whom he can devour. Remember, his job is to rob, kill and destroy any and all who are vulnerable and not prepared to fight him off.
The weapons of our warfare are not against flesh and blood, for they simply are a front of who our enemy really is. We are in a spiritual battle against Satan and his host of demonic forces who have ranks of authority similiar to the military to fight against us. They wait for us to come out from our secret place in God, who is our covering, and as we set out on our own, he is right there to trip us up without us even realizing it. Therefore, just as this verse says, we MUST take up the whole armor of God so that we can withstand Satan and his forces in these evil days. Even more so, because we are to live in our secret place in God, let us put on the armor of God and not take it off so that we are not vulnerable to the ploys of Satan. We do that by living with the armor of God on us at all times.
In tomorrow's Daily Devotion, we will begin to look at each one of the armor that we need to keep on us at all times. For when we do, we can fight off the forces of Satan and his demonic hosts effectively, as well as boldy proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ as we ought.
Blessings,
