Hebrews 11:6

Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Faith: G4102 Assurance, divine persuasion; moral conviction of the truthfulness of God; reliance upon Christ for salvation; believe - (a gift of God, never something that man can produce)

 The context of this verse was pointing to the power of the faith of Enoch. In a world of unbelief, he believed in God; he sought after God, and God came to Him and blessed him. The more he sought God, the more God blessed Enoch with Himself, which produced a deeper faith in God. His life then became a “walk of faith” in God.

Faith is only the beginning of our walk with God. While faith in God through Christ Jesus is our assurance of our eternal salvation with Him, and that is great, God has so much more planned for us.

God never intended for His most beloved creation of man to just believe that He is, but that we have a loving and intimate fellowship with the Lord that keeps growing deeper into the things of God. We do that by diligently seeking after the Lord on a continual basis through His Word and in prayer, meditation and worship. For when we do, we will discover, see and experience God’s blessings being poured out over and over again in our life. Our faith then becomes a “walk of faith,” very much like Enoch, because the Lord is in the midst of everything we think, say and do in life.

God is asking that you grow in your faith by diligently seeking after Him. Take the faith you have in Him and make it a priority in your life to grow deeper in the Lord and His ways. Spend time with Him, quality time where you experience God every day. That so pleases the Lord, and yes, He definitely rewards those who diligently seek after Him.

Have you discovered that the more you grow and mature in your faith, the more God reveals Himself to you, and the more He reveals Himself to you, the more your heart wants to seek after the Him and His ways even more?

I declare:  I choose a “walk of faith” in Christ Jesus

PRAYER:  In the busyness of life Lord, my heart truly wants to seek after You. Do that work within me so that I will purpose to seek after You by spending more time with You in Your Word and in prayer, meditation and worship.  I truly want a “walk of faith” in You.

Matt 6:33 But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
