Joshua 1:8

Joshua 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
In Hebrew, the word “meditate” means “to mutter, to speak to oneself, ponder.”
A cow has one stomach, but four compartments. Once food is swallowed, it goes into one compartment of the stomach to be digested and then comes back up only to be digested again and again until all four compartments have digested that food. To properly meditate on the Word of God is like a cow digesting its food. We take in the Word of God by muttering (speak out loud) over and over what it says, then let it go through the digestion (thinking) process in us – only for it to return to mutter again until it is fully completed. Throughout the day, keep muttering God’s Word, then let it soak in, only to later to rethink/speak it again and again. Do this until God’s Word becomes a part of your internal belief system.

When you consistently meditate (mutter) on God’s Word over and over until it becomes a part of you, you will automatically do what is written in it. When you consistently live according to the Word of God, you will prosper, and when you prosper you will have success. That is God’s way to living the good life.
PRAYER: Lord, work in me to be consistent in my daily confession of Your Word.
I BELIEVE: I live the good life because I live by the Word of God.

Heb 4:12 For the Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joint and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
