Philippians 4:19
Phil 4:19 My God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Throughout the writings to the Church at Philippi, the Apostle Paul has been instructing and encouraging the believers in the Lord. He is now ending his letter by giving them a promise to hang on to. You and I can also take those same promises for ourselves.
You belong to the Family of God -you are God’s son or daughter. You came into His family through marriage – as the bride of Christ. So then, everything you have in the Family of God came to you through and because of Jesus the Christ – the One Who saved you and took you to Himself. You are now one with Him to receive all of the blessings of God.
Because of the faith and trust you have in Christ and His Word, God so desires to give you, as a member of His family, everything you need - according to all the riches He has stored up for you in heaven. That doesn’t mean simply the basic needs for your life, but according to all of the riches that He has stored up in heaven – God wants to lavish them upon His sons and daughters.
I remember a song I sang as a child: “Every promise in the Book is mine – every chapter, every verse, every line. All the blessings of His love divine – every promise in the Book is mine.” That means your total salvation – spirit, soul, and body.
Promises generally come with conditions. The #1 condition is that you must believe that God will fulfill what He has promised you. Then when you do your part, God will do His part. The Bible has over 8800 promises from Genesis to Revelation. Are you believing God for your eternal salvation? Protection? Healing? Prosperity? Loving relationships? Victorious living? Financial security?, A peaceful life? Joy in your circumstances? The list goes on and on.
I encourage you in whatever circumstance you find yourself in, to go to God’s Word and find a promise of the blessing that God is promising you. Then believe it, stand on it and remind yourself over and over of what God has promises you because God wants you to have that blessing of His promise.
I DECLARE: Every promise in the Book is mine – All the blessings of His love divine.
MY PRAYER: Because I believe in You, Father, please work in me to bring about Your promises in my life.
Eph 3:20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.
