Hebrews 11:3
Heb 11:3 By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.
God spoke into nothing and the world was created. He first knew what He wanted in His mind/heart and then He spoke it into being. Then God said, “let there be light.”’ And there was light. Then God said “let there be a vault (NIV) in the sky,” and it was so. God then said, “let the waters divide and let dry land appear,” and it happened. God then said,” let there be dry land, grass, fish in the sea and animals upon the earth,” and they came into being. Then God said, “let us make man in our image, after our likeness, and let them have dominion.”
As believers, created in the image and likeness of God, we may have the biblical knowledge that God framed the heavens and the earth in his heart first, and then He spoke it into being. We may have the biblical knowledge that we were created in the image and likeness of God, having the ability to create our world with the words we speak, but do we truly believe it? We can trust God at His word by having faith in Him that we too frame our world with our mouth. We can take every promise in the Word of God and speak it into our lives, trusting that God is working on our behalf. When Jesus said in Mark 11:22-23 to speak to the mountain and not doubt in your heart, you can then have what you say. It will be done. Have faith in God that it will be done, He was simply saying “because I can, so can you!”
I remember a song that I sang as a child: “Every promise in the Book is mine. Every chapter - every verse – every line. All the blessings of His love divine, every promise in the Book is mine.”
We frame our world by the words we speak. If you speak negative, you do get what you say. On the other hand, when you speak the promises of God, you can trust that those are God’s promises to you and if you believe it in your heart and speak it with your mouth, you can have what we say.
So, find a promise in God’s Word and claim it for yourself. Your faith and your speaking it out with your mouth have the power to shape your reality.
