1 John 2:27a
1 John 2:27a But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you...
As a believer in Jesus Christ, you have the spirit of Christ living within you through the power of the Holy Spirit. As such, you have the anointing of God living in you. You can then choose to live in "God moments" as much as you desire. In every moment of every day, we are given opportunities to make our moments pleasing unto the Lord. "God moments" will draw out the best in us as we purpose to serve the Lord by giving Him these moments of our lives.
Have you ever prayed to the Lord in the morning "Use me God this day for your purpose," then go about your day only to discover by that night you were so busy all day that you didn't even think about that prayer you prayed in the morning? Our focus was on the busyness of our day instead of God.
Ask yourself right now? Is this a "God moment?" The answer is "yes" because your focus is on God as you read these words. Then secondly, when you read this scripture verse, it reminds you that God lives within you. Then lastly, as you continue to read this message, these words are reminding you that God wants you to reach out to others in "God moments."
So then, my encouragement for you today is to look for your "God moments" throughout your day. What I like to do is to repetitively ask myself throughout the day "is this a 'God moment?"' What is it that I can do right now to make it a God moment?" Is it to say thank you to someone who has just helped me? Or could it be to open the door for someone? Or say, "God bless you" to the cashier who just waited on me or the person standing in line with me at the grocery store? The list goes on and on. I so encourage you to plant seeds of "God moments" with your words and/or your actions today. Those little "God moments" can then turn into opportunities that God opens for you to go further into sharing the love of Jesus and telling others how much He loves them.
Can you today begin the habit of asking yourself throughout your day - "Is this a God moment?" If it is, plant your seed to shows the love of Jesus to a dying world who needs a Savior. As such, your seeds will eventually turn into a harvest.
Luke 10:2 The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.
