1 Corinthians 2:9-10
1 Corinthians 2:9-10 But as it is written: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him. 10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
Would you like to know the deep things of God? They are available to you as a believer in Jesus Christ. Most Christians think these deep things of God are waiting for them in heaven. While that is true, in which we cannot fully comprehend the greatness of heaven, the Apostle Paul is telling us in here that God reveals the deep things of Him through His Spirit that lives in us here in this dimension of timed while we . This kind of depthness cannot be attained by human wisdom, but only through the revelation of the Spirit of God.
I read a book several years ago in which the author challenged his readers to purpose to grow more intimate with Christ by going deeper in their prayertime and worship. I loved the Lord, knew I had a deep relationship with Him, but desired to go even deeper in my intimacy with Him. I took on that challenge and found myself crying out to God for weeks on end to bring me into that deeper place in Him. The Bible calls it "deep to deep" (Psm 42:7a). In other words, the deep in you is crying out to know the deep in God. What the Holy Spirit revealed in me over those weeks is indescribable as my love for the Lord grew even more deeper and more intimate as the Lord kept revealing the depth of His heart and love to me.
These two scripture verses in 1 Corinthians have become a favorite of mine, for I surely have found out that no natural wisdom and even long times in the study of Word of God, of which I regularly do, can bring a person to those deep things of God unless you add to it spending deep quality times with the Lord in prayer, seeking to go deeper. For when I did, greater revelations of truth from His Word opened in me in ways I had never known before.
God most definitely wants His body to know these deep things that are only reserved for those who seek after it. If that is a cry in your heart, I challenge you to seek after a greater depth in your relationship with God by crying out to Him from the depths of your heart to go deeper. Correlate that with your study in His Word and then watch over time how God will move in powerful ways in your life.
