April 24 - 2 Corinthians 12:9

April 24
2 Corinthians 12:9

And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

The Apostle Paul was facing some rough challenges and he cried out to the Lord for help.  The Lord then assured him that His grace was all he needed, reminding him that his strength came from the the Lord. Therefore, he was rejoicing in the power of the strength that he received from God. He knew that his own strength couldn't cut it in a world of continuous challenges, and he had to rely on the power of the Lord operating within him.

Is it any different today? Absolutely not. Whenever we think we can't carry on any longer, whether it is something physical or emotional, that is when we can count on the grace of God stepping in and operating in our lives, giving us the strength that we need in that particular situation. Remember, it is in your weakness that His strength comes through in you.

God lives within you through the power of the Holy Spirit. He can do things in you that you never thought possible.

Sowing The Seeds Of Truth: I Can Do ALL Things Through CHRIST

So just remember,  when the going gets tough, call upon the Lord. He will step in to do His work through you. That is when you can truly say..."it wasn't me, it was Christ who gave me the strength to do what I needed to do. Then don't forget to thank Him.
