21. The Fullness of the Gentiles God's Purpose for Man

Chapter 21
The Fullness of the Gentiles

The time of the period of the Jews:  God has been faithful to the covenant He made with Abraham back around 1950 B.C.  Abraham, as recognized as the first Jew (Hebrew), honored the covenant made with God.  This same covenant was carried out through the time of Moses and the Israelites and continued on all through the Dispensation of the Law.  Jesus was born as a Jew under the latter part of the Dispensation of the Law.  This time period covered about 2050 years when God offered salvation to the Jews.  Through the centuries, the Jewish religion had become corrupt, and the Jewish leaders turned their back on Christ as He laid crucified on the cross.  At that point, God turned His back on the Jews, but only "temporarily" to offer the Gentiles the same opportunity to come to God, but now through His Son Jesus Christ.

What is the period of the Gentiles?  When Jesus came to the earth, He came to save the "whole" world, not just the Jews.  Salvation was offered to "whomever" - to the Jews and the Gentiles alike (Rom 1:16).  God was giving the whole world a chance to come to Christ (John 3:16)

"Gentile" was another term for unbeliever because they did not believe in the One true God.  Most of them were pagan idol worshippers. That term continued on into the Church Age, separating the Jews and Christians from the rest of the world.  As such, all Gentiles are unbelievers in Christ, in the same way that all Jews are unbelievers in Christ unless they repent and come to believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

If a Jew came to Christ, he or she has been referred to as a believer - a Messianic Jewish believer.
If a Gentile came to Christ, he was simply known as a believer in Christ

The "Fullness of the Gentiles?“

Romans 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in.

The "fullness of the Gentiles" is a reference to the blindness of Israel when the sins of the Gentiles (the world) has reached its pinnacle in sin and Christ will come to earth to judge the earth of its evil (Rom 11:25).  God gave the Jews over 2000 years to come to Him, and now the Gentiles have been offerred 2000 years (up to this point of time) the same privilege.  It is God's desire that everyone is offered the gift of salvation - that none should perish.

2 Peter 3:9 The LORD is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perishbut everyone to come to repentance.

The fullness of the Gentiles will NOT end at the time of the Rapture of the Church, but at the 2nd coming of Christ.  At the time of the Rapture of the Church, the Church will be raptured up to heaven, leaving the rest of the world to experience the wrath of the Tribulation Period that is coming upon the earth.  God will then turn His attention to the Jews again to do everything He can to bring them back to Himself through the Tribulation Period.  At the same time, the fullness of the Gentiles will be nearing its completion as the Tribulation Period affects all Gentiles (unbelievers) upon the earth who refused Christ.

Again, the Tribulation Period has nothing to do with the Church.
As such, the Church will be removed from the earth before the Tribulation Period begins.

The Gospel to All Nations

Jesus gave an assignment to His disciples (including His disciples down through the ages) - to preach the Gospel to all nations.  When all nations have been reached, then the end will come.  Have we reached that point?

Matt 24:14  And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

Matt 28:19  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

At this present time, all nations of the world has heard the Gospel; however, not every person in every nation has heard.  Jesus expected His disciples (which includes you and me as believers) to go to all the nations of the world to preach the Gospel.  As we reach many in those nations for the Gospel, we were then called to train disciples in those nationals so they too could carry the Gospel throughout their nation.

While the Church has failed in many ways to disciple those in other nations, God will give those left alive upon the earth one last chance.  We will see in later chapters that God will even use angels to spread the truths about Jesus to the world during the Tribulation Period.  More of that will be brought out later.

One-World Order Formed

There are a total of 196 nations in the world, and 193 of them are part of the United Nations, and all are presently working toward a one-world order to supposedly bring about world peace.  For many decades, and even centuries, there has been a global plan, called globalism, where certain powerful elitists have perpetrated to bring on a "one-world government," having the facade that all cultures learn to live together in peace for the common good of all people.  Over the years, a large portion of the world's population has boughten into this plan hoping it will bring about world peace in a world; however, the world keeps getting darker and darker.  Sadly, many have come to realize that true globalism is not about world peace, but about the destruction of nations for the sole purpose of creating a mono-culture one-world order/government world without God.  At its core are certain self appointed wealthy political elitists who meet in secret groups for the purpose of plotting a socialistic world order they can control regardless of who gets hurt.  It's all about wealth, power, and control over the people.  That is the world of today, and it will be those powerful elitists who will be in power at the beginning of the Tribulation Period.  Out of that will come the anti-christ.

Set in motion

The time of the end has been set in motion behind the scenes for many millenials.  This plot has slowly been inacted as the world has gotten darker and darker.  As the Tribulation Period prepares to enter in on the scene, the evils of this world begin to unfold as they are exposed at fast rates of speed.  Immediately following the Rapture of the Church, mankind will nearly self destruct, and in desperation cry out for "someone" to help them.  Primed and ready, the world is ready for a take-over by those who want to rule the world.  Out of that, there will be a man on the scenes, all primed to help, to bring on a so-called "world peace."  Trained out of the pit of hell, he will come masquerading as a man of peace, "supposedly" wanting to bring the world together to live in harmony and unity.  This man of peace, however, is the anti-christ, but seen as the savior of the world.  His false image, however, will only be temporary.

Those Left Upon the Earth

All inhabitants upon the earth who have rejected Christ will be a part of the Tribulation Period.  That will include Jewish unbelievers as well.   It will also include those in distant lands who have not heard the Gospel.  Out of the now inhabitants of the earth will be many who have known nothing of Jewish history, or could care less, but will have to face life during the Tribulation Period.   Only the Church - those who have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior will be raptured at the Rapture of the Church.  As the Book of Revelation shows us, there will be many Gentiles who will come to Christ during the Tribulation Period as well.  Anyone who is caught being a believer, whether Jew or Gentile will probably be martyred for their faith (Rev 6:9-11).
