God Regretted Creating Man

From our last chapter, we saw that Gen. 3:15 gave us the first prophecy of a Redeemer coming for mankind. God spoke directly to Satan with firm words of his future - “a day would come when the seed of a woman would be victorious over him.”  Satan may have won that battle, but a time would come when someone greater than him would bring about his defeat (Gen 3:15).  His defeat would last eternally.

Satan knew that God meant business, so he set himself on a rampage to stop that seed from coming upon the earth.  As such, we will discover his diabolic plan as we examine several Old Testament scriptures.

Be Fruitful and Multiply

The Bible lists Cain and Abel as the first children born to Adam and Eve.  It is possible, however, that other children were born before, and certainly many were born after them.  In addition, female genealogy is generally not listed in the Hebrew Scriptures.

In the progression of time, through a fit of jealousy, Cain killed his brother Abel.  The seed of Cain was now impure.  Scripture later tells us that Adam and Eve beget Seth as a substitute for Abel (Gen 4:25).  God commanded Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply, and populate the earth. According to Gen. 5:4, Adam lived another 800 years after the birth of Seth, begetting many sons and daughters. He lived to be a total of 930 years. Since daughters are very seldom listed in the line of genealogy in scripture, it is more than conceivable that during those 930 years, thousands, maybe even hundreds of thousands of offsprings began with Adam and Eve and the inter-sexual relations within the family. The human race had begun and was multiplying upon the earth.

Part of the reason that inter-sexual relations within families, such as brothers and sisters or cousins, are not lawful today is because there is the possibility of mutation when the joining of genes within close bloodlines are mixed.  Today, having a deformed or mentally retarded child is heightened as genes are crossed bred within families. Since sin had just entered into Adam and Eve, the mutation of genes had not spread enough to create abnormalities at that time.

Sexual Sins of Satan’s Angels

The population continued to multiply and man became very wicked, to where God regretted He had created man. Let’s now look at the first verse of Genesis 6 in which we find God stating that there was sexual deviation upon the earth. 

Gen 6:1 When men began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, the “sons of God” saw that the daughters of men were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose.

The term “sons of God” is found only five times in the Old Testament, and every time it pertains to angels [i] . Obviously, these angels are not God’s holy angels, for God’s angels are obedient to Him, and did not violate the act of procreation. It has become pretty apparent that Satan was on a rampage to prevent the seed of Jesus from one day coming forth.  As such, Satan's fallen angels left their place of habitation, violating their place in God, and had sex with the women of that day causing them to procreate the earth, causing much mutation. 

Giants/Nephilims on the Earth

The Bible makes it clear that at the time of the flood of Noah there were giants upon the earth. The Bible also makes it clear how the giants came into being. 

Gen 6:4 There were “giants” in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the “sons of God” came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. KJV

Almost sounding like a science fiction novel, scriptures tells us that these giants upon the earth were the offspring of the fallen angels that impregnated women of that day.  It was Satan’s purpose to have his fallen angels corrupt the human race and thereby do away with the pure Adamite stock, thus corrupting the “seed of the woman” that God had earlier prophesied would come against Satan.  These giants are often called nephilums in some Bibles. This intention of Satan could then stall or prevent Jesus Christ from coming forth to defeat him.  His diabolic plan then would have made it possible for him and his followers to keep control of the earth indefinitely.

Giants are spoken of in the Hebrew language as “giant tyrannical bullies.” Being of great stature, measuring as tall as 16-18 feet in height, some of these tyrannical bullies even had six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot. [ii] These giants became a form of mutation that created a strange form of mankind that no longer was created in the image and likeness of God.  They were half human and half angelic being and became very evil beings.

We have learned in earlier chapters that angels can take on the form of a body, whether of normal stature or grow as tall as 16-18 feet, very much like the size of the giants they produced.  That then suggests that "sons of God" - these Satanic angelic beings could have taken on a size of ordinary men to be able to impregnate the women of that day.  The offspring then could then grow into a giant type of creature.  Generations of giants were then created to bring on another race of people (of sorts) upon the earth.

God’s Law of Reproduction

From the beginning, God’s law of reproduction has always been "everything after its own kind."  How this kind of union was biologically done goes beyond reason and understanding of our human minds.  Satan, however, in his psuedo power had his fallen angels impregnate the women of that day to have offspring of such extraordinary size that goes beyond ordinary human species. 

Science Has Proof of Giants on the Earth

Archeologists have dug up bones which appear to once have been giants upon the earth. We have the fossils as evidence of their existence. The Bible also speaks of individual giants, such as Goliath, whom David slew, as well as groups and nations of giants.  We even have such fairy-tale stories for children as Jack and the Bean Stalk.  We also have Greek mythology - an expression of history, tradition, memories and legend, which tells of the acts of the "so-called" supernatural giants and their offsprings. These giants were feared by all around, and because of their size and strength, many were considered gods. 

Angels Are Only Male in Gender

Throughout scripture angels are recorded as being created innumerably and male in gender.  No female angel has ever been recorded. It is logical to say then, that the female was created not only as a helpmate for man, but also in the procreation of the human race.  Man and female - the human species began as one pair and continued normally one by one by one, throughout time and history. [iii]

Being Sexless?

Many people think that angels are sexless, basing their belief on Matt. 22:30.  Matt 22:30 At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven.  This verse does not state that angels are sexless. The purpose of this verse is to show that men and women who have part in the resurrection of life do not marry.  In heaven, there is no need for the joining of man and woman together in a sexual union because believers are the Bride of Christ joined to Him - one family joined together in Him.   

In the Resurrection

The Bible teaches that every person will continue bodily as he or she was born, and will continue to be the same throughout eternity.  It will be the perfect body with all of its body parts as God designed man to be.  Male and female alike will be resurrected with all of their bodily parts, because it is part of their DNA. They will, however, be changed from mortality to immortality. There is nothing in the resurrection to un-create men and women.

God’s Regret

God saw mankind becoming more wicked as time progressed. Even though his mercy is long and enduring, He could only allow sin to prevail so long.  Evil of every kind filled the earth.  God spoke to a man called Noah, whom by this time was the only righteous man left upon the earth.

The meaning of "righteous:" 
Righteous could also mean of “pure seed.” With Satan’s diabolical plan of planting giants upon the earth, Noah (and his sons) may have been the only pure seed from the line of Seth through Adam.  That added to the evils of the world, and as such, the earth was filled with violence as tyrannical giants filled the earth.

God told Noah He would only allow sin to prevail for another 120 years, and after that He would destroy all of mankind, except for him and his family (Gen 6:3). God had regretted that He had created mankind and all of earth’s inhabitants, and He was now preparing to destroy all of them with a global flood (Gen 6:6-7). 

Because there was one righteous man upon the earth, God created an escape clause for Noah and his family, and allowed animal and bird life to continue through the preservation of one set of every kind. 

Gen 6:8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD.

God had to destroy Satan’s plan

Let’s do a little research in Scripture to look at a fuller explanation of why God regretted creating man and how Satan’s diabolical plan took root. 

Satan’s plan, as you recall, was to stop the seed of the woman (meaning Jesus) from coming forth to defeat him.  God had to stop Satan’s scheme of destroying the seed of the forthcoming Messiah. If He had not, every person on the face of the earth would eventually be corrupted with the mutated seed of the giants. Then the seed of the forthcoming Messiah could not have come forth and Satan would have complete rule over the earth again indefinitely with an earth filled with corrupted mutated giants.

To stop Satan’s wicked scheme, along with stopping the sin and corruption in mankind, God brought a flood upon the earth and destroyed every mutated seed. Noah and his family, coming from the lineage of Seth, was probably the only one left upon the earth that was not corrupted. His seed was perfect, without mutation.  While there could have been others from the seed of Seth, Noah was the only man who walked with God; thus, making him a righteous man in the sight of God.  

Gen 6:9-10 This is the account of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God. Noah had three sons: Shem, Ham and Japheth.

The Hebrew meaning of the word perfect, as used in scripture, is without blemish, complete, full, without spot, undefiled, and whole.

God’s Sentence on Some of the Fallen Angels

In addition to destroying mankind, God judged and sentenced the fallen angel who had sex with the women and locked them into a special compartment in hell to await the final judgment day (2 Pet 2 4-5). 

2 Peter 2:4-5  For God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness to be reserved unto judgment.  5  and spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon a world of the ungodly.

Both man and angels were judged by God.  It appeared that the mutated seed had ended. The pure seed from Adam, through Noah, could now continue as the earth became re-populated. The earth again was in line to bring the forthcoming Messiah as promised in Genesis 3:15.  It looked like Satan was defeated.  That, however, was not the case.
