14. The Seed of the Woman Come Forth God's Purpose for Man

Chapter 14
The Seed of the Woman Come Forth

As a slight review and to reinforce within you the preparation for the fulfillment of the seed of the woman to come forth (Gen 3:15), we know that after the Noahic flood God was able to start the human race again with the pure seed of Noah, innocent, but not without the sin nature, but lacked any mutated seed from the fallen angels of Satan.  It didn’t take long, however, before Satan was steeped in his diabolical schemes again. Several hundred years later Abram was born. Called out of a wicked nation in Mesopotamia, Abram, following after God, became surrounded by giants in the Land of Canaan. There he covenanted with God for ownership of that land and become the father of many nations when he begat his son Isaac.

Generations later, Abraham’s great grandson Joseph, through a series of events, became the overseer of Egypt to control the grain in that country. Back in the land of Canaan, where Joseph’s family still resided, God was at work to get His people temporarily out of that land where the giants were still being bred until God's people would be strong enough to kill off the giants. Twenty years after Joseph was sold by his brothers into slavery, a famine came upon Canaan. Jacob, Joseph’s father, believing he was dead, sent his other eleven sons to Egypt to purchase some grain.  Again, through a series of events, Joseph was rejoined with his family of now 70, bringing them to Egypt, away from Canaan, to live in prosperity. God was able to take his people out of a corrupt land to hide them away from the giant population for over 400 years. After the death of Joseph, however, slavery came upon the Israelites and they needed to get out of Egypt and back to their promised land of Canaan.

Moses and the Wandering in the Wilderness

God used a man called Moses to lead His people out of slavery. Coming in as a family of seventy, they left as a nation of 2,000,000 people. Called the Israelites, (after the sons of Israel {Joseph}, they wandered in the wilderness for forty years before crossing over to the land of Canaan because they feared encountering the giants. A new generation of young fearless Israelite warriors had come forth to march into Canaan to defeat the giants. God had told His people that not only every giant had to be killed, but everyone – man, woman, and child because the people, which included the giants, were filled with sickness, disease, and malformation. In other words, they were mutated in the same way as the earth was before the flood of Noah.  In addition, wickedness, which included all forms of evil, and idol worship filled the Land of Canaan. God command them to kill off peoples of Canaan with specific instructions regarding each city, leaving nothing.

Giants in Canaan

Had the population of Canaan, including the giants carried on through the generations, they would have wiped out the whole human race. Sad to say, the Israelites left small pockets of these people in the land of Canaan alive and unharmed, and so the killing and dying off of giants, along with the evil that followed them, took much longer to stop.  Idolatry toward other gods was rampant in Canaan, and eventually that worship became infiltrated with God’s people, bringing wickedness within them as well.

Through all of this, we can see the hand of Satan at work – how he kept trying to stop the seed of Jesus from coming forth. God had to take serious measures to counteract Satan’s plan to preserve a people in which the Messiah could come forth. As discussed previously, God punished these fallen angels who had sex with the women of Canaan, who birthed these giants. They were cast into Tartarus (a place in hell), filled with fire, torment, and torture. There these fallen angels of Satan await their eternal judgment to the Eternal Lake of Fire.

Because God raised Jesus from the dead to live eternally, God has given to those who believe in His Son that same privilege.  Eternal life comes comes by being born-again from the seed of the woman.  Hallelujah!

The Seed of the Woman

Jesus did come forth through the seed of a woman, just as God warned Satan and prophesied in Gen 3:15.  That seed was pure and undefiled. Jesus' mother Mary, conceived by the Holy Spirit of God gave forth that pure seed of the Son of God.  Jesus was then raised by his earthly parents who also came from the pure seed of their ancestors of NOah and Adam.

Through all of the schemes of Satan trying to stop the seed of the woman from coming forth, God still protected His people for 4000 years. He kept that seed of Adam’s son Seth pure all the way to Noah, and Noah’s pure seed through Shem was passed down to Abraham. God then had a covenant pact with Abraham, promising to give him a nation through his seed Isaac, and through Isaac and later King David would come the Messiah, the Anointed One. For 4000 years God protected that seed of the woman, and as such, Jesus came forth from the pure lineage of Adam, through Seth, through Noah, through Shem, through Abraham, and through King David.

Believers in the Seed Receive the Incorruptibe Seed

As believers in Jesus Christ, the long awaited prophesied seed of the woman, we too, today, 6000 years later can still have that same incorruptible seed planted within us through the power of the Holy Spirit of God.  At the moment we acknowledge Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord over our life, we yield ourselves to God for Him to ignite the Spirit of the Son of God within us.  As such, we begin our new life in God where the old has passed and the new has come.  (2 Cor 5:17).  As such, eternal life belongs to us. Hallelujah!
