2 Thess - Background

This 2nd letter to the Church at Thessalonica was written about 1 1/2 years after his first letter. After learning that false teachers were teaching the Rapture of the Church had already occurred, the Apostle Paul had to straight their thinking to believe the Gospel, not the lies perpetrated to them by false teachers.

2 Thess - Chapter 1

The Apostle Paul lays out the foundations of end-time events in writing, which were the same teaching he gave them while he was with them in person. This, and all of the apostle's letters, became the words of the Lord to the churches - then and today.

2 Thess - Chapter 2

The Apostle lays out clearly there are two events - the Rapture of the Church and the 2nd coming of Christ and how to distinguish them apart. Solid teaching for the Church 2000 years and ago and for the Church of today.
