God is at Work Perfecting You

God is at Work Perfecting You

Did you know that the Lord is continuously at work in you to perfect or complete what He began?  He has a special plan for your life. God's plans are to perfect you to become the person He created you to be because He wants to use you to make a difference in this world.

Sadly, we live in a sinful world all around us, and even as Christians, we walk through trials and tribulations from time to time, but we need to know that God loves us and He so desires to fulfill His plans in our lives.

When I was going through the cancer some 17 1/2 years ago, I took Psalm 138:8 to heart which says The Lord will perfect (which means to complete) that which concerns me;  And being healed from cancer certainly concerned me. That cancer had to leave.

• I have to be honest to say that I lived in fear of that horrible disease for months, which operating out of fear was a sin in itself.
• Fear is the opposite of faith - meaning I truly down deep in my heart questioned whether God could heal me.
• I knew God could heal others, but could He heal me?
• I knew the problem wasn't God, but me.
• The promises of God are so powerful when we speak them over our lives. So I spoke God's promise that He is perfecting that which concerns me over and over - every single day - everytime fear reared its head.
• I knew faith had to resonate in my heart as God's truth for me personally for it to come to pass.
• It took a while, but then one morning I woke up, and suddenly I knew I was healed. It resonated within my heart as God's truth for me personally. I then truly believed.

Whatever you may be going through, as a believer in Jesus Christ, take one of God's promises to heart - truly believing every promise. If you vasulate between fear and faith keep speaking God's truth over you. His promises need to resonate in your heart as a genuine truth. That is true belief.

Matthew 21:22 tells us that if we believe, we will then receive whatever we ask in prayer.
