Declare the Word - Blessings #7-9

We are on a journey discovering the eighteen listed blessings that we have in heavenly places in Christ we see in Ephesians 1:3, which says: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in Christ in heavenly places.

We've had three episodes so far on our blessings, which I encourage you to go back and watch, and now we enter into the fourth episodes looking at blessings #7-9 that we, as Christians, belonging to the Kingdom of God, have in heavenly places.

Blessing #7

Ephesians 1:11 tells us In whom, meaning Jesus, also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will.

Yes, we do have an inheritance in heaven, as well as blessings down here on earth. God preplanned this inheritance for us before we were born, because - remember, we were chosen by God long before we were born, having a plan and purpose for us all along. When we get to heaven, there will be an inheritance far above you could ever imagine. The awesome part of this is that we can make withdrawals on our inheritance even now while we walk this earth.

What are our inheritance? While we fully don't know, it is far more than we could ever imagine. Along with the eighteen blessings we read about in the first three chapters of Ephesians 1-3, we have eternal salvation for all eternity, living out as a king's kid in the Kingdom of God. We will co-rule and co-reign with Christ for 1000 years, enjoying the vast blessings of what heaven has to offer us. These blessings are more than our finite mind can even imagine,

And then to think that it gives God great pleasure to offer these blessings to us. He destined it to be part of His will for us. This just amazes me.

Blessing #8

Blessing #8 gives us the promised Holy Spirit. When we accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord, the Holy Spirit entered into our life to be our comforter, guide, instructor and revealer of truth, and the One Who empowers us to lives life as God has designed for us. Let's read verse 13-14 of chapter 1 of Ephesians.

In Him you also trusted AFTER you heard the Word of Truth, the Gospel of your salvation; in Whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, Who is the guarante of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, sto the praise of His glory.

We have the Spirit of God living and active on the inside of us to show us how to live, comfort us in our pain, and empower us to do everything that God is asking of us. Just think, you have the Spirit of God - the Creator of heaven and earth, mankind, and everything created living inside you. Meditate on what all that means for you. Because you believe and trust in Jesus, God has given you His Spirit as a down-payment of all that is to come for you throughout all eternity. You have been sealed by God. Let that sink in!

Blessing #9

Let's wind down with blessing #9 that comes from chapter 2, verses 1 and 5.

1. And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience...verse 4-5: But God who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when were dead in trepasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)"

Now give that some thought. You are now alive - more alive than you have even been, because before you came to Christ you were dead in your sins. You walked the ways of the world which is governed by Satan - who works continuously to cause those under his control to do his deeds in you. But...God...who is rich in mercy and love took you out of your deadness to become alive in Christ. You have been saved from the destruction of Satan, including going to hell for all eternity. You are fully alive, and heaven is your home - Jesus is King, and you are part of the Kingdom of God.

Join us in the next episode as we continue with the eighteen blessings we have in heavenly places - all because of Christ and what He has done for us.
