Declaring the Word Blessings #10-13

Our journey in discovering the eighteen blessings that believers in Christ has been amazing. In a quick summary, we have learned this so far:

• We have been chosen by God before the foundation of the world
• We've been adopted by God as sons and daughters into the Kingdom of God.
• We have been redeemed through Christ's blood - having forgiveness of sins
• We have been given the knowledge of the mystery of the ages, which is the Gospel of Christ.
• One day God will gather the Jews and Gentiles together as one in Christ for all eternity.
• As children of the most high God, we have an inheritance that awaits us,
• We have been sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise
• We are now alive in Christ - where we were once dead in our sins

Everything we have - all of these wonderful blessings are because of Christ and what He has done for us.

Blessing #10 & 11

Eph 2:6-7 and raised us up together and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus and in the ages to come He might show the eceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ.

I once had a vision of me sitting on the throne next to Christ as He sat on the right-hand side of God. I was nestled up in Christ' arm and I looked over at God and His face was sparkling white and I could not recognize Him. Then I looked at Jesus sitting next to me. His face was golden, sparkled and I couldn't recognize His face as well. But I did see His robe, left arm with His finger pointed down at a stool that was under my feet. Under the stool was Satan, like a bobble-head helpless, and Jesus said to me, "See, I have given you authority."

I have never forgotten that vision which reminds me continuously that I am seated in heavenly places in Christ being given the authority over Satan. He is helpless as long as I use my authority "in the name of Jesus" over Him to bind his powers.

As believers in Christ Jesus, one of the blessings that we have is that we have been spiritually seated in heaven on God's throne with Christ (as His body), and we have the authority of Christ to command Satan to cease any operation he is attempting to do. That is our legal right and authority over him. We are part of the Kingdom of God, and we can use that authority over him whenever he rears his ugly head against us.

Blessing #11

There will be a day in the Millennium when Satan will be bound in the Bottom-less pit and unable to cause any damage. But in this age, we have authority in the name of Jesus to bind Satan from causing any harm.

Blessing #12

For simply having faith in Who Jesus is and what He has done for us - meaning:

• Jesus is the Son of God
• Jesus died on the cross for our sins and for three days went to hell in our stead.
• God arose Him - He was resurrected from the dead to be alive forevermore to be with God

We too are saved from the penalty of death and hell because of what Jesus did for us. We too will spend eternity with God forevermore. There is nothing we can do to earn eternal salvation - it simply is a gift from God to us for believing in His Son Jesus Christ. 

Eph 2:8-9
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Blessing #13

Eph 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Going back to the 1st blessing in the first episode in this series, God chose us before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless before Him. That means, as a believer in Christ, we are to live lives that are holy and pleasing to God.  He certainly does not want us to live like the world's pattern because we have been created as God's workmanship (or masterpiece). He has an assignment for each one of us. We have been called by God with a holy calling. That is a serious calling by God so that we can be used for His plans and purposes. He loves us so much. We are that important to God. 

When we take our lives seriously as an assignment from God, we will take His Word seriously because His Word is our instruction map for life. We will spend time regularly in His presence getting to know Him, developing our relationship with our heavenly Father. God, through His Son Jesus becomes a vital part of our life. The Holy Spirit within becomes our guide, directing us in life as we trust in Him each and every single day. As such, we are obedient to His Word and His ways. 

Prov 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and soul, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.
